I love apple crisp with pie filling and bisquick! Well, maybe not, but I do like apple crisp with pie filling and bisquick (if it’s made right!). A good friend asked me to help her out making an apple crisp with pie filling and bisquick but she either didn’t give me time or didn’t tell me how much time I’d have. Either way, I dusted off my old recipes and tested a batch of apple crisp with pie filling and bisquick.

BISQUICK APPLE COBBLER

I love baking with Bisquick. It is a versatile baking mix that can be used for both sweet and savory recipes. We recently made a Bisquick Peach Cobbler and a Bisquick Blackberry Cobbler and they are amazing. Plus we made a Blueberry Cobbler with Bisquick and it is also epic.

I started thinking about making fun variations of this fruit cobbler.  I figured why not make an apple cobbler with Bisquick.

While cleaning out the pantry I found a can of apple pie filling and thought why not try that instead of fresh apples. A quick and easy time cheat to whip out quick apple cobbler Bisquick dessert.

This easy recipe makes a great family dinner dessert, potluck dessert, or snack when you want something sweet.

Top it with vanilla ice cream for even more goodness.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans apple pie filling
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter *melted
  • 1/2 cup pecans *chopped

Instructions

  • Grease a bundt pan.
  • Pour in the 2 cans of pie filling.
  • Sprinkle the Bisquick on top of pie filling.
  • Sprinkle sugar on top of Bisquick.
  • Melt butter and pour over sugar.
  • Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of butter.
  • Place pan in a preheated oven, 375, and bake for about 40-45 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and serve in a bowl with vanilla ice-cream if desired.

Simply bake according to the instructions, refrigerate, and when you’re ready to eat, pop it in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees F. Ingredients

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 2 cans apple pie filling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Spread pie filling evenly on the bottom of the casserole dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. Place butter in microwave-safe bowl and heat until melted, about 20 seconds.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together Bisquick, sugar, milk, and the melted butter until a soft dough forms. Spoon dough on top of apple pie mixture in large, round dollops until most of the dish is covered. (Small areas where pie filling peeks through are fine.)
  5. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes or until top is golden brown.
