A spatula holding a peach cobbler square being lifting from a pan.

MAKING CINNAMON ROLL PEACH COBBLER

These easy peach dumplings with crescent rolls are absolutely divine just as they are, but the great thing about a recipe like this is that you can tweak and change it to make it your own. I’ve done that a time or two with this one. My favorite variation is cinnamon roll peach cobbler. Just like this peach dumpling recipe, it’s a delicious take on classic peach cobbler, and it’s absolutely delicious!

INGREDIENTS

By simply replacing the crescent dough with cinnamon roll dough, you can add a lovely depth of flavor to your peach cobbler rolls. The cinnamon rolls add extra sweetness along with a ton of cinnamon flavor that works so amazingly well with your peach mixture. It’s a cinnamon-filled trip to Heaven, and your taste buds are invited!

To make Peach Cobbler with Cinnamon Rolls, gather all the same ingredients except swap the 8 count cinnamon rolls for the crescent rolls. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 8oz packages of crescent rolls
  • 2 15oz cans of sliced peaches
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Brown sugar
  • Water
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Whip cream or vanilla ice cream (optional, but highly recommended)

MAKING CINNAMON ROLL PEACH COBBLER

Because making this recipe with cinnamon rolls will make it a little thicker, I like to take out a cinnamon roll and fold it in half so that the edges are slightly overlapping. You’ll need to roll or flatten out your cinnamon roll strip by hand. I find the easiest way to do this is to place it on parchment paper so it makes less of a mess, and it’s easier to transfer to the baking dish once it’s ready.

You’ll follow the same recipe for this recipe as you would for the peach cobbler dumplings. You’ll simply wrap the peaches with the cinnamon roll dough rather than the crescent roll dough. That’s all there is to it! Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Wrap peaches in cinnamon roll dough and place in a baking dish.
  • Combine sugar, water, butter, and cinnamon.
  • Boil until reduced to a slightly thick syrup.
  • Pour the mixture over the crescent roll wrapped peaches.
  • Bake.

TIPS

You can make either of these recipe variations using fresh or canned peaches. They’re both delicious. How you choose to do it is totally up to you. I have some tips here that will help you make the best easy peach cobbler dumplings no matter which method you choose to use.
