With them, the biggest problem is neither they can try to make tasty Indian food at home nor can sacrifice their love for their health. Healthy Indian Dinner Recipes

Tomato Rice


  1. Raw brown rice (½ cup)
  2. Chana Dal (1tbsp)
  3. Tomato (2pcs)
  4. Curry leaves (10g)
  5. Onion (½ pcs)
  6. Corriander roots (10g)
  7. Refined oil (2tsp)
  8. Mustard Seeds (½ tsp)
  9. Red Chilli powder(1tsp)
  10. Turmeric Powder (½ tsp)
  11. Asafoetida/hing (1pinch)
  12. Green Chilies (2pcs)
  13. Salt to taste

How to make 

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 30 min and tamarind for 10 min.
  2. Now boil the rice and extract the water.
  3. Spread the rice on a plat and let it to get cooled.
  4. Put a pan on the oven and heat oil.
  5. Add chana dal to it and roast on a low flame.
  6. Now add finely chopped onion, green chilies to it and let get translucent.
  7. Add turmeric powder and mix well and if required, add some water to it.
  8. Now add all the remaining spices and chopped to tomato to the mixture.
  9. Add some tamarind pulp and saute well.
  10. Add the boiled rice to it and mix well to complete masala coating.
  11. Garnish it with coriander and curry leaves and serve.

Bread Upma


  1. Sandwich bread (6pcs)
  2. Onion (½pc)
  3. Tomato (1 Pc)
  4. Lemon (1pc)
  5. Red chili powder(1tsp)
  6. Mustard seeds (1tsp)
  7. Turmeric powder (1tsp)
  8. Curry leaves (10g)
  9. Green chilies (1pc)
  10. Salt to taste.

How to make 

  1. Chop the tomato, onion, green chili
  2. Cut the loaf in cubes.
  3. Heat oil and put 1tsp oil in it.
  4. Add mustard seeds to it and allow to crackle.
  5. Now add some curry leaves to it and saute for a minute.
  6. Add chopped onion and let it get soft and translucent.
  7. Add turmeric powder, tomato, and salt to it.
  8. Add other remaining spices that are, cumin, red chili powder, etc. to it.
  9. Add some water to prevent the spices get burnt.
  10. Now add the cubed bread to it and mix well on a low flame.
  11. Ensure the seasoning and add some lemon juice to it.
  12. Serve hot, healthy, and delicious upma for your dinner.
