- It’s sugar-free,
- Preservatives and artificial flavorings free,
- Low in calories,
- Loaded with nutrients, called antioxidants, vitamins and dietary fibers, and
- Tastes so much better than plain water.
So, move aside sodas and calorie drinks, make way for this light and refreshing strawberry-flavored water.

WHAT MAKES UP THIS STRAWBERRY FLAVORED WATER?
Infused water is a perfect drink for people who enjoy fruit-flavored water, and this drink has few of my favorite flavor combinations like –
» Strawberries – always use fresh ripe fruit. Avoid overripe, mushy strawberries as they will spoil your water.
» Mint Leaves – it’s crisp and fresh taste infuses tons of flavor.
» Water – yes, of course. Water the foundation of this drink.
» Ice – add ice after the drink has been chilled for 6-8 hours in the refrigerator.
HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY FLAVORED WATER?
1. Rinse strawberries thoroughly under cold running water.
2. Remove the hull and discard it.
3. Slice strawberries into quarters. Combine berries and fresh mint sprigs in a pitcher. Fill the pitcher with water.
4. Using a spoon, muddle the strawberries a little to release the juices.
5. Cover the pitcher with a lid and chill it in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours or overnight.
6. The following day, remove the pitcher from the fridge. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

TIPS TO MAKE A PERFECT STRAWBERRY FLAVORED WATER!
» Wash your fruit thoroughly under tap water to get rid of all the dirt and impurities.
» For intense flavor, always use ripe strawberries for fruit-infused water. Gone off fruit will spoil your drink.
» Load your drink with strawberries – the more the fruit, the better the flavor. strawberry flavored water
» Roughly bruise or tear the whole stems of mint and add it to the water. Bruised herb will release more flavor.
» With a spoon muddle the strawberries a little to release the juices. If you choose not to mix the fruit in the water, it might not infuse your water with berry flavor.
» For the best result and fruity flavor, chill the infused water in the fridge for 6-8 hours or overnight. The longer you chill, the stronger the infusion.
» After the strawberry flavored water is chilled, it will infuse your water with a slight pink color. By this time, the strawberries would have become mushy, so strain the fruit from the water.
» A quick note – since no sugar is added – this strawberry favored water will not be sweet at all. It will have a mild, fruity flavor of the strawberries.

HOW LONG DOES FLAVORED WATER LAST?
It depends on a lot of factors. strawberry flavored water
1. Type of fruits – Fruits like strawberries, blackberries, raspberries go off faster than oranges, cucumber, lemons, and kiwis.
2. Weather – In hot and humid weather, the fruit will get mushy pretty quickly. strawberry flavored water
3. How ripe the fruit is – Very ripe fruit will last less than a day compared to the fruits that are not ripe. Though I always recommend consuming infused water within a day for the best flavor and health benefits.

Strawberry infused water is a refreshing and brilliant way to enjoy the upcoming strawberry season!
You can make this strawberry flavored water easily and enjoy it at home or you can take it along with you to work or to school.
I am a huge fan of fruit infused water and I think it’ s about time that I shared my passion with you guys.
In Austria, we have been getting for years no so-called fruit flavored water.
The major mineral water companies started this trend and they have been hugely successful.
At some point, I noticed that people got away completely from handy juice bottles and enjoyed mostly these fruit flavored waters.
At the same time, these fruit flavored waters in Austria had different, commonly available local fruits, as flavors such as Lingonberry water or jostaberry water.
So these fruit infused waters can be prepared with various fruits too!
but first…
What is strawberry infused water?
Strawberry infused water, or fruit infused waters in general, are, as the name suggests, water with strawberries as a natural flavor agent.
These waters contain the flavor of a fruit or two.
Yet contain only a hint of the fruit, but with a strong distinctive flavor.
How is a fruit infused water different to a fruit juice?
The difference between strawberry infused water and a strawberry juice is very clear.
A strawberry juice contains the fruit pulp which is turned into a drinkable version.
A juice is sweet and you can taste only the fruit.
The strawberry water, on the other hand, is plain water with strawberry.
The fruit is more in the background, the water is still the main ingredient and not sweet at all.
Fruit waters are never sweet but contain enough flavor to keep it interesting.
Besides that fruit infused waters are often while referred to as detox water or spa water.
How to make strawberry infused water?
You can prepare a batch of strawberry infused water easily at home.
Even with plain water!
The amount of strawberries you want to use in your strawberry water is up to you.
The more you add, the more flavor the water will have and the more often you will be able to refill the bottle.
Yes, you get o refill the bottle with the fruits in it!
This is one of the cool perks of fruit infused water.
To make strawberry flavored water:
Step 1
Cut your strawberries into slices.
Step 2
Place the strawberry into a glass, pitcher or bottle infuser.
Step 3
Add some ice cubes and pour the water of the fruits, so that the fruits are all covered with water.
Step 4
Let the water with strawberries sit for a while in the fridge before enjoying it. The longer the more flavor
Reasons why you should make your own fruit-flavored water
The great part is that you can refill the glass/pitcher/bottle, with the fruits in it, with fresh water.
So the strawberry infused water can last you for the whole day.
The first batch is always the most flavorful.
I usually keep my fruits for 30 minutes minimum in the water so that the water gets to soak up the flavors.
Then, I refill to create more strawberry detox water.
I refill the glass/bottle/jar usually 3-4 times.
If the fruits are still in good shape (say after the first time refilling) then you can eat the fruits too.
Otherwise, when I refill it up to 4 times, I usually don’t eat the fruits because they lost their form and I just throw them on the compost for the garden plants.

Guys, the weather here has been extremely hot so we’ve been trying to make drinks that are refreshing and hydrate us. Infused waters are our favorites! They are great for summer and the best thing about them is that you can make them easily yourself with your favorite ingredients.
How to make lemon strawberry infused water?
To make this refreshing summer drink you will need 3 simple ingredients: a few mint sprigs, strawberries and lemon. The ratio is up to you but if you follow this recipe you will end up with strawberry infused water with a hint of lemon and light mint flavor.
To get stronger mint flavor I simply bruise the leaves before adding them to a jar. When it comes to lemons, wash them thoroughly, especially when you are not using organic ones. Peel the zest if you are worried about the infused water having a bitter taste.
When using strawberries to infuse water bear in mind that they go off faster in water, especially when sliced or mashed. Here I don’t recommend leaving the jar in the fridge overnight.
By the way, d id you know that drinking infused water is good for you? Recently I have come across an article about the benefits of strawberry infused water and I was surprised about the power behind this easy flavored water.
Good to know when making strawberry lemon infused water:
- For stronger strawberry flavor, mash some strawberries and add them to the glasses right before pouring this strawberry infused water in.
- Strawberries (as well as raspberries) go off faster in water than any other fruits. That is why I don’t recommend infusing this strawberry lemon water overnight.
- If you don’t have lemon, try using lime instead.
- A great substitution for mint is lemon balm. Basil can also be used. It depends on your preference.
I like to add extra mint leaves, lemon slices and strawberries to each glass right before serving. It looks prettier and more interesting.
This strawberry lemon infused water is the right drink for outdoor parties, barbecues, chilling at the pool or simply any time you feel like having a glass of refreshing and healthy drink.

How to Make Strawberry Detox Water
There are an endless number of ways to make strawberry detox water. Strawberries provide such a unique and delicious flavor in water that you can pair them with just about any fruit or vegetable and it will taste really good.
Here are some tips for making strawberry detox water:
- You can usually get 2-4 fill-ups (you can refill the water without adding more fruit) out of one batch of these ingredients, but you might want to change them out a little sooner if you prefer a stronger flavor.
- For an extra special treat, use sparkling water instead of regular water. It adds more taste and looks really pretty in a fancy glass.
- The longer the water sits, the stronger the flavor. It’s usually mild at first, but after a few hours (or overnight) it can be quite strong.
- Strawberries are usually washed, de-stemmed, and sliced, but they can also be served whole for a pretty presentation. They just don’t infused as much flavor when left whole.
- Try frozen strawberries when they’re not on sale or in season.
- You can muddle the fruit for a stronger flavor.
