We’re a popcorn kind of family. The kind that goes through one of those big Costco-sized boxes of popcorn every month. Need a quick snack…popcorn. Got a salty craving…popcorn. Friday movie night…popcorn. You get the idea. We eat a lot of popcorn.

To keep our popcorn game fresh, I attempted a flavored carnival type style popcorn, and let me tell you, it was so darn fun and yummy. The girls and I gobbled this Pink Strawberry Popcorn up in no time flat and have plans for more fun flavored popcorn stylings soon!

How To Make Pink Strawberry Popcorn

First of all, let’s keep it real, shall we? When I say we make a lot of popcorn I mean that I put a lot of popcorn bags in the microwave and hit “2.” There’s nothing wrong with homemade popcorn, and if you would like to do that for this recipe, fill your popcorn boots. Life is busy though and I’ll be sticking to my bagged ready-to-pop popcorn.

Let’s start popping this recipe, metaphorically and literally. First, pop a bag of popcorn and spread it out on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Allow it to cool while you prepare the strawberry simple syrup. And speaking of that syrup, in a small pot add in all the remaining ingredients and allow to come to a boil over medium heat.

Strawberry Flavored Popcorn

If you don’t have strawberry extract or would prefer to use a different flavor, swap it out for whatever your tastebuds are telling you. Cherry, Irish cream, hazelnut, or coconut. All would be delish.

Now that the syrup has come to a boil, remove it from the heat and very carefully pour it over the popcorn. Grab a spatula and begin to gently stir and mix the popcorn around the cookie sheet to make sure all the pieces have been covered in the syrup. Last up is the trickiest step in this pink strawberry popcorn process, you gotta set it aside and allow the popcorn to dry. This should take approximately 1-2 hours depending on the climate.

Easy Pink Popcorn Recipe

Finally, once the popcorn has fully dried break the larger chunks up into smaller popcorn pieces and put it into a bowl, servings cups, or eat it straight off the tray. For reals, it’s that yummy. And there you have it, super fun, super easy, and super tasty Pink Strawberry Popcorn.
