  • Plain flour
  • ⅓ cup(s), (50g)
  • Caster sugar
  • 2 tbs
  • Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
  • Reduced fat oil spread
  • 50 g
  • Blanched almonds
  • ¼ cup(s), (40g)
  • Apple, stewed, unsweetened
  • 800 g
  • Ice cream, vanilla
  • 150 ml
  • Oil spray
  • 1 x 3 second spray(s)


  1. Oven should be preheated to 200°C or 180°C fan-forced. Spray a baking dish with oil that has a 3-cup (750ml) capacity lightly.
  2. In a big basin, mix the oats, flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Rub spread into mixture with fingertips until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Add almonds and stir.
  3. Apple in dish as prepared. Oat mixture should be sprinkled on top. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden. With ice cream, serve.


You can use peaches or apricots in natural juice (drained) instead of apple.


Warm, juicy apples are stuffed into a flaky handmade pie crust and covered with an oat-based crumb. They are then sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg. With 8 servings altogether, this has 5 points per serving.

  • Set the oven rack in the center.
  • Set the oven to 400oF.
  • Spray cooking oil on a 9-inch pie pan.
  • Mix flour, sugar, and salt in the bowl of a food processor with a steel blade to make the crust; pulse to combine.
  • Sprinkle butter on top of the flour mixture, then pulse until the dough resembles coarse meal. If additional water is required, add it gradually until the dough comes together.
  • Place the dough in the prepared pan, pressing it into the edges and the bottom to make a crust. Prick the bottom of the crust 5 or 6 times with a fork.
  • Spread filling evenly over crust by combining all filling ingredients in a medium bowl and gently combining.
  • Melt butter in a small pot to make crumble.
  • Sprinkle over apples after combining oats, flour, and sugar.
  • For 20 minutes, bake.
  • Bake for a further 30 to 40 minutes after lowering heat to 350°F, or until crumble and crust are golden and apples are tender.
  • For the final 20 minutes of baking, cover with foil if pie crust or crumble is getting too brown.
  • Before cutting into 8 pieces and serving, allow it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  • 1 piece per serving is produced.

  • MacIntosh, Granny Smith, and Jonagold apples are just a few examples of the variety to use.
  • Bake the apple filling for an additional 10 minutes if you prefer it a little saucier.
